Abstract Globally, lacustrine carbonate rocks are often found in rift lake basins. Because they do not form large-scale conventional or unconventional reservoirs, have received enough attention previous oil and gas exploration. Recent years, exploration examples China show that has close relationship with gas. Mudstone deposits always a good effect the area. However, genesis of is still controversial. The sediment environment difference between mudstone its effects on hydrocarbon accumulation yet clear. This paper focuses Nantun Formation Hailar Basin. Through analysis lithofacies, geochemistry, logging data, several findings been obtained current study. (a) Two kinds carbonates, micrite dolomite marlstone, which represent semideep to deep environments, identified research (b) Lacustrine (LD), whose may relate magmatic movement hydrothermal processes, shows an extremely dry, hot paleoclimate saline, anaerobic ancient water condition. (c) Carbonate deposition related condensation section, marlstone beginning end respectively.
